Baltimore isn't necessarily known for being one of the "greenest" cities. In fact, the American Lung Association just named the Baltimore-Washington area one of the top 10 most polluted areas in the country. But there is a small movement in Charm City that is working to change that. Slowly but surely, rundown areas and empty lots are being turned into community gardens.
Urban agriculture has a number of benefits, not just to the environment but to the community. For my media graphics course I put together this pamphlet on some of the urban farms in the area and the benefits of urban agriculture.
